Flat Iron Building

My drawing on location are created with me standing up and sketching with oil pastels. I like to capture the passing moment using my love of color. My favorite subjects are city life and old brownstone buildings. When I am out side, I am forced to react and step out of level of comfort. This contributes to the spontaneous quality of the picture.

Old buildings are like people, each one had its own character and that is what I am after. In the process of bringing character to life. I derive a great amount of satisfaction and accomplishment.
